In my new collection ‘Alone, Not Lonely’ I have created scenes of isolated figures straddling their own balance of where they are and where they might rather be.

I spend a lot of time alone. I work alone, I paint alone and my wife’s job takes her away from home a few days a week. This solitary time is not unfortunate to me, for I am quite comfortable with my own company. In these days I dream, I create, I wonder, fantasize, reflect and imagine. I sit, I stroll, tinker, research, gaze and even drift into scenarios that would make Walter Mitty proud. As a dreamer I frequently battle myself with the balance between what is physical place and mental state.
