Coffee with Jacques Barbey. There is nothing typical about this young bohemian man, not his photographic work or his views of the world. Jacques is one of those people you find yourself jealous of after a few minutes of conversation because of his intelligence and creative spirit. His energy and thought process is inspiring, I wish I could think like him. He has this uncanny ability to make ‘You’ feel great about your own ventures. (A very rare quality).
Jacques is a loving father and husband; he is as passionate about family as he is his work. His photo essay series “About A Boy” features his son Noah; the compassion will make you pause. Jacques is a talented photographer, artist, writer, storyteller and visual Ninja. He is an avid reader, movie watcher and general artisan. If you’re lucky enough to pin him down for a coffee and a powwow it will be a moment of joy. I’m lucky enough to call him my friend.
